The Team Leader Toolcrib and Calibration is responsible to lead activities and processes within the Tooling & Equipment department.
The incumbent manages the staff in the Tool Crib, control the function of Tool Crib and any additional field assigned under Tool Crib operation. The Team Leader Toolcrib and Calibration will be willing to guide, train and support his team members and is highly motivated to help our company to fulfil its larger mission.
Main tasks
- Promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization;
- Ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual;
- Drive a performance culture through periodic target setting and regular structured follow up with all employees;
- Plan and execute efficiency improvements and cost reductions;
- Drive assigned department projects in-order to achieve targets and ensure the up-keep of company quality standards;
- Perform internal audits within the department to ensure processes and standards are being followed;
- Be well informed and up-to-date on the requirements of the specific position responsibilities;
- Administer the development, implementation and maintenance of work methods, systems and procedures in the section in cooperation with other elements whose functional responsibilities are involved to ensure an organized and efficient workflow;
- Ensure there is adherence to the KPIs of the section and implement any necessary actions to ensure alignment to these KPIs;
- Prepare and manage the section’s budget requirements;
- Lead other daily operations to coordinate and ensure the adequate running of the section;
- Guarantee and organize as required the support from other departments;
- Evaluate and fulfill the tooling and equipment requirements of the easyJet Engineering network;
- Purchase tooling and equipment as required by internal stakeholders;
- Monitoring of tool loans;
- Authorizing tool lease activity and generating revenue according to monthly budget;
- Maintain a tool database in order to keep track of all tooling;
- Monitor that all tools and equipment are well kept and stored;
- Monitoring tooling calibration;
- Ensure employees adhere to company policies;
- Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity;
- Promote a positive safety culture and to ensure that the safety and quality policy is communicated, promoted and implemented within the organization;
- Engage in other duties and/or projects as may be assigned from time to time;

- Mandatory use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to company standards and prevent inadvertent or hazardous situations leading to injury, hurt or loss.

Educational Qualifications, Experience and Personal Skills
- Possess a minimum 5 years of experience working in a technical role in an MRO it will be an asset;
- Have a technical background and possess experience of working with tools and equipment;
- Be able to multi-task and work under pressure;
- Be computer literate with strong knowledge of MS office applications;
- Be able to communicate well in English;
- Have good leadership skills.
