The C&E Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and procurement of material, maintaining C&E stock levels in alignment with shops or hangars, minimizing stock, holding cost and work stoppages due to material shortages. This includes the placement of the RFQ, purchasing of material (SPC0 and SPC1) or other material as required. As such, he is responsible for placing orders based on evaluations, reports and material planning data with vendors and consignment stock suppliers, for replenishing stock in easyJet Engineering Malta or any other location as required. He/She is originating orders in ERP system, seeking for approval, and following the orders up with vendors/suppliers and with internal stake holders till the material booked and invoiced.
Main Tasks
- Promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization.
- Ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual
- Procure and monitor of dispatch for required C&E stock for assigned purchasing groups/material numbers at economic optimum based on historic and expected future consumption
- Optimize timing of orders towards just-in-time delivery
- Achieve timely recovery of C&E shortages
- Apply special management of high value items in order to meet demand and minimize stock level
- Liaising with C&E Material Planner for ordering material for upcoming demand
- Validate, challenge and approve or refuse purchase requisitions before hand over for approval
- Proactively maximize use of interchangeable material in collaboration with qualified engineering personnel
- Identify surplus material with C&E Material Planner and initiate and participate in liquidation
- Maintain accurate data in ERP system/SAP
- Set measures in a format of KPI’s
- Report C&E stock levels on a regular basis
- Collaborate, plan and maintain consignment stocks with potential Vendors/Suppliers
- Analyse and evaluate consignment stock performance with Vendors/Suppliers
- Perform sustainable and economical procurement of turn key projects, embodiment and letter check material in time, quantity, quality and price
- Manage the relationship with the suppliers from a commercial and operational aspect – manage the suppliers’ performance, adherence to expected quality standards, and on-time delivery amongst others;
- Contribute to further develop and implement operational procurement processes
- Support projects, related to procurement activities and project related material budgets
- Ensure supporting documents and certification for procured materials are available and up to date and are maintained in accordance with company procedures
- Engage in any other task commensurate with the role

Position Key Requirements and Competencies
Degree in Business, Technical or Supply Chain education with at least 3 years relevant work
Experience
- Supply Chain/ Material Procurement background ideally in Aviation / MRO
- Good knowledge of SAP or similar software
- Very good command of English – written and spoken
