The Production Planner reports to the Senior Production Planner. The Production Planner ensures that the Turn Around Time (TAT) and resources are identified, communicated and prepared in advance prior to the aircraft maintenance input so that the Operations Team can Perform the maintenance on time in the most efficient manner. The Production Planner is responsible for creating, administering and maintaining the Work Scope for the assigned aircraft maintenance input, ensuring all preparation is completed effectively and on schedule. The Production Planner must ensure that all maintenance tasks are co-ordinated and that the Operations Team as well as the Supply Chain and Tooling Teams are supported and enabled to perform the required maintenance tasks.
Main Tasks
- To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the organization
- To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual
- Carry out all the transactions on easyJet Engineering Malta ERP at the time of preparation and during the execution part of the maintenance event
- Prepare and print the work package and coordinate customer attachments with the Work Preparation Specialist Team
- Act as the focal point of contact between the Jobcards and Methodics Specialists Team and the Customer for any jobcard & work package related issues
- Provide the Material and Tooling Preload Lists to the Supply Chain and Tooling Department as per the established KPI’s
- Cross-check and confirm the Planned TAT based on the review of the draft and final Customer Work Packs
- Schedule and sequence the maintenance tasks in line with the customer’s WP
- Provide targets to the Production Personnel in order to meet the Planned and agreed TAT
- Support the Bay Managers with the correct data and planning information for the maintenance input
- Implement any work package changes and co-ordinate the work scope during the ground time
- Support the Shift Leader during aircraft releases
- Create and coordinate final documentation and send to customer as per the agreed contract
- Cross check scanned documents to support the Work Preparation Specialists Team before being shipped to the customer
- Support and deputise for the Senior Production Planner when required
- Ensure efficient communication with all stakeholders including the customer
- Ensure co-ordination of documentation and assist with aircraft movements
- Contribute to ensure that the department 5S standards are maintained
- Support LEAN initiatives and Continuous Improvement Projects
- Execute any other task commensurate with the role
Position Key Accountabilities

- People: Monitor the performance of the Safety and compliance monitoring management system and ensure alignment with the related stakeholders.
- 6S: Ensure that all 6S Standards are adhered with at all times in his/her assigned areas
• At least 2 years experience working in an EASA Part 145 Aviation Organisation or graduate in Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and other MS applications
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance tasks and documentation is preferred
• High sense of ownership and urgency when necessary
• Well organised, diligent with high attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Be a good team player
• Be a good communicator, confident and is able to problem solve
• High degree of customer focus, both internal and external
• Proven ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset
• Experience working with Airbus or Boeing aircraft is preferred
